RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REJECTING BIDS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
ANNUAL TOWING REQUIREMENTS; FINDING_ AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for a contract for the
towing requirements of the Wichita Falls Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Council believes it is in the interest of the health and safety of
the citizens of Wichita Falls to adopt a wrecker rotation system, rather than a contract
with a single provider.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The bids for the police department annual towing requirements
submitted under Bid 98 -67 are hereby rejected for the reasons stated.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
