RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH BIGGS & MATHEWS,
INC. FOR THE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AND GEOTECHNICAL
REPORT FOR EXPANSION OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
LANDFILL (LANDFILL NO. 1428) ; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to amend their existing permit on
their Sanitary Landfill; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to expand the Sanitary Landfill and
to amend the permit to provide for Aerial Filling; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to retain the engineering firm of
Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for the preparation of the Preliminary Engineering and
Geotechnical Report related to the expansion and aerial filling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The contract between Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for the preparation of
the Preliminary Engineering and Geotechnical Report is hereby approved at a cost of
$540,625.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
