RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR EXPENDITURES
FROM THE JUDICIAL EFFICIENCY FEE FUND; DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Section 51.921 of the Government Code requires municipal courts
to collect a fee of $25 from a person who has been convicted and then seeks to pay
fine or court costs or over a period of time rather than immediately; and
WHEREAS, of this amount, $2.50, is designated for the purpose of improving the
efficiency of the administration of justice in the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the municipality shall prioritize the needs of the judicial officer who
collected the fees when making expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby adopts the prioritization of needs of the
municipal court judge from the Judicial Efficiency Fee Fund as listed in the Attached
Schedule:
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

Priority #1. - Purchase of two laser printers for the court.
Priority #2. - Allocate funds to cover the budget shortfall with the new municipal court
software /hardware system project.
Priority #3. - Ongoing purchases of hardware and software as appropriate to enhance
general office productivity_ Purchases in this category will be for upgrades
and products on a "as needed" basis consistent with established City
information systems purchasing procedures authorized by the City
Manager.
