RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS FOR
THE RELOCATION OF UTILITIES FOR THE OVERHEAD
EXPRESSWAY PROJECT; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is participating with the Texas Department
of Transportation for the construction of an Overhead Expressway; and
WHEREAS, a number of utility locations must be made to facilitate construction
of the expressway; and
WHEREAS, some relocations will be fully funded by the Federal Government
while others will be partially funded by the State of Texas: and
WHEREAS, Texas Department of Transportation has asked the City to enter into
an agreement for contribution of these funds for those stated purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council has examined proposed agreements to contribute
the funds agreements are hereby approved with the authority for the City Manager to
execute such agreements.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 19th day of January, 1999.
