RESOLUTION DECLARING THE VACANT LOT AT 2304 AVENUE J AS
EXCESS; APPROVING THE SALE OF THE CITY'S INTEREST, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SPECIAL WARRANTY
DEEDS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reduce the inventory of real property
acquired from delinquent tax suits; and
WHEREAS, the property at 2304 Avenue J can not be sold by sealed bids due to
its irregular size and the existence of a sewer line crossing the lot from an adjacent
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Local Government Code, the
City of Wichita Falls shall sell its interest in the following described excess real property
located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas: West 50 feet of Lots 3 and 4, Block
86A, Highland Addition, a /k/a 2304 Avenue J.
SECTION 2. The West 50 feet of Lot 4, Block 86A shall be sold to Samuel
Litteken and wife, Pamela R. Litteken for the appraised value of $1,000.00. The West
50 feet of Lot 3, Block 86A shall be sold to Erlinda Gonzales Ramos for the appraised
value of $1,000.00.
The above stated amounts are the fair market value of the property as
determined by Henderson Appraisal and Consultants.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the special warranty
deeds on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
