RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LEASE OF CITY -
OWNED PROPERTY TO THE WICHITA COUNTY HERITAGE SOCIETY;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is in support of the Wichita County Heritage
Days festival as an educational and cultural event for the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita County Heritage Society wishes to utilize City -owned
property as part of the festival site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease for the
temporary use of City -owned property described as follows:
All of Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 163, Original Townsite; the South eleven feet of the East Y2
of Lot 2, the North thirty -nine feet of the East 1/2 of Lot 1, Block 163, Original Townsite of
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
