RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID, CONTRACT, AND APPROVE CHANGE
ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE 1999 STREET RECYCLING & RESURFACING
PROJECT; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the 1999 Street
Recycling & Resurfacing Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Zack Burkett, who
made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $813, 321.05; and
WHEREAS, this bid exceeds the amount budgeted, a Change Order is required
to reduce quantities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said Change Order No. 1 and unit price bid of Zack Burkett, Co.
with an estimated total of $754,750.05 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is
authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of
such project.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this Resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of August, 1999.
