RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO 1 AND ACCEPT
THE LAKE KICKAPOO BOOSTER PUMP STATIONS MCC
REPLACEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO
MARVIN GROVES ELECTRIC CO.; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum contract with Marvin
Groves Electric Co. with the total cost of $146,737.00 ; and
WHEREAS, the approval of Change Order No. 1 will increase the cost to
$147,521.00 of which $143,802.26 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving
an amount due of $3,718.74; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 1 is approved and the Lake Kickapoo Booster
Pump Stations MCC Replacement Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is
authorized to make final payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
