RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION 1124 CONCERNING THE
AVIATION ADVISORY BOARD, AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 171 -90
AT SECTION 2; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Resolution 1124 concerning the Aviation Advisory Board is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2. Section 2 of Resolution 171 -90 is hereby amended so that such
section shall read as follows:
"Section 2. Appointments
The members of the Aviation Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Mayor
and approved by the City Council. The terms of such members shall be for a period of
three (3) years. Members may be appointed to serve a second term but in no case shall
a member serve longer than six (6) consecutive years. Members shall be appointed to
places one (1) through nine (9). Places 1, 2, and 3 shall expire December 31, 1999.
Places 4, 5 and 6 shall expire December 31, 2000, and Places 7, 8 and 9 shall expire
December 31, 2001. All vacancies shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with the
approval of the City Council and shall be for the remainder of the term of the vacating
member. Any member of the Aviation Advisory Board may be removed at any time by a
five - seventh majority vote of the City Council, and no reason need be given for such
removal."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
