RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPOINTMENT TO THE HELEN
FARABEE REGIONAL MHMR BOARD OF TRUSTEES, DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1998, the City Council approved the interlocal
agreement formalizing the appointment process for appointments to the Board of
Trustees of the Helen Farabee Regional MHMR Centers; and
WHEREAS, the agreement stipulates that on a rotating basis, one of the six
members from outside Wichita County will be designated as an "at large" member and
that the City of Wichita Falls and the Commissioners Court of Wichita County must
approve the appointment; and
WHEREAS, the current rotation belongs to Place 3, appointed by Stephens,
Throckmorton and Young Counties and these respective commissioners courts have
recommended Ken Andrews, Young County Judge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ken Andrews is hereby confirmed as the "at large" appointee to the
Helen Farabee Regional MHMR Centers Board of Trustees for the term expiring on
August 31, 2001,
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
