RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR THE INSPECTION OF
SANITARY LANDFILL LINER CELL NO. 14 AND FINAL COVER CELL
NO. 12 TO BIGGS & MATHEWS, INC.; DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required by the Texas Natural Resource
and Conservation Commission to provide inspection services for the Quality Control
Assurance (QCA) services for the Sanitary Landfill Liner Cell No. 14 and Final Cover
Cell No. 12; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Biggs & Mathews, Inc. has been selected to perform
these services at a cost not to exceed $210,000.00; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended the City enter into a contract with
engineering firm of Biggs & Mathews, Inc. to perform the necessary engineering
inspection services related to this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The proposed contract with Biggs & Mathews, Inc. for the stated
purposes is hereby approved with an engineering fee not to exceed $210,000.00. The
City Manager is authorized to execute the contract for the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
