RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT REVISION WITH JOHNNY SIMMONS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE HAMILTON PARK TENNIS CENTER;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Johnny Simmons has performed well as the contract operator of the
Hamilton Park Tennis Center; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Simmons has requested an increase in his monthly stipend from
$2,403 per month to $2,917 per month, or $35,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, a recent Request For Proposal for similar services at Weeks Park
Tennis Center resulted in a contract amount of $35,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract
revision with Johnny Simmons to increase the monthly stipend to him from $2,403 per
month to $2,917 per month and to include changes making it the same as the contract
for the management of Weeks Park Tennis Center.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
