RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE HERTZ
RENTAL CAR LEASE TO THE HERTZ CORPORATION AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH THE HERTZ CORPORATION FOR LEASE OF
SPACE AT THE WICHITA FALLS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has a lease agreement with Robert
Moore; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moore has entered into an agreement to sell his business to the
Hertz Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the assignment of the lease agreement to the Hertz Corporation
requires City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the Hertz Corporation has requested a two -year lease with an
additional one -year option; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to assign the lease and execute a
new lease agreement with The Hertz Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The assignment of the Hertz Rental Car Lease to The Hertz
Corporation and a lease agreement with The Hertz Corporation for lease of space at
the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport is approved and the City Manager is authorized to
execute the lease for the City.
SECTION 1A. The lease agreement by and between the City of Wichita Falls
and Robert Moore is hereby terminated.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this Resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law..
