RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 1998 -1999
AND FY 1999 -2000 BUDGETS FOR THE WICHITA FALLS (413) SALES
TAX CORPORATION FOR PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PROJECTS;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors for the Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax
Corporation met on July 12, 1999 and adopted a proposed budget for FY 1999 -2000
which City Council approved on July 20, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Corporation's budget included $400,000 for improvements to the
second floor of the Library for recreation and $2,175,270 for the fire station
consolidation project; and
WHEREAS, an additional $434,029 is needed for the fire station consolidation
project as a result of bids opened on August 5, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the 4B Board has approved amending the Corporation's budget for
FY 1998.99 to include the additional appropriation of $434,029 necessary for the fire
station consolidation project and to include the $400,000 for the recreation
improvements and to delete from the FY 1999 -2000 budget the amounts previously
appropriated for these two projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The FY 1998 -99 budget of the Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax
Corporation is hereby amended to increase appropriations for the fire station
consolidation project by $434,029 from $2,175,270 to $2,609,299 and to appropriate
$400,000 for improvements to the second floor of the Library for recreation.
SECTION 2. The FY 1999 -2000 budget of the Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax
Corporation is hereby amended to delete appropriations for the fire station
consolidation project in the amount of $2,175,270 and to delete appropriations in the
amount of $400,000 for improvements to the second floor of the Library for recreation.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
