Res 100-99 8/17/1999RESOLUTION NO. C RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT AND WILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE HOLLIDAY CREEK PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAIL PHASE 11 B; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation has issued a call for Transportation Enhancement Projects under the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century; and WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls had previously supported a project entitled Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase II; and WHEREAS, the Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase II was split into a Phase 11 A (Southwest Parkway to F.M. 2380) and a Phase II B (East End of the Lake Wichita Dam to Jaycee Park) due to scheduling difficulties; and WHEREAS, the Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase I (Midwestern Parkway to Southwest Parkway) is complete and Phase II A has been bid and is scheduled for construction, and the City of Wichita Falls wishes to proceed with Phase II B. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls wishes to express its support for the nomination of the Holliday Creek Pedestrian and Bicycle Trail Phase 11 B under the Transportation Enhancement Program provided for in the Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century. SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls is committed to this project development, implementation, construction, maintenance, management and financing. SECTION 3. The current local match for the project is estimated to be $175,598.98 will be considered in the year 2000 -2001 budget. SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 17th day of August 1999.
