RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED
WITH THE SALE OF A PORTION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY IN WEEKS
PARK ALONG WEEKS PARK LANE AND PLACEMENT OF SAME ON
THE NEXT GENERAL CITY COUNCIL ELECTION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a portion of Weeks Park was isolated by the construction of Weeks
Park Lane; and,
WHEREAS, no reasonable public benefit has occurred; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to sell the surplus City property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to proceed with the sale of
a surplus portion of Weeks Park and to place same on the next general City Council
election.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
