RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE EAST INWOOD DRAINAGE & SEWER
RELOCATION /JACQUELINE MANHOLE STABILIZATION PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO MCGRATH BROTHERS
CONCRETE; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with McGrath
Brothers Concrete for the East Inwood Drainage & Sewer Relocation /Jacqueline
Manhole Stabilization Project, with the estimated total cost of $232,684.00, and,
WHEREAS, two previously approved change orders increased the estimated
total cost to $245,589.93; and,
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $252,451.76, of
which $251,341.76 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due
of $1,110.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The East Inwood Drainage & Sewer Relocation/Jacqueline
Manhole Stabilization Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to
make final payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
