RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ANNEXATION PLAN AS REQUIRED
UNDER CHAPTER 43.052, TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 89 requires cities to prepare an annexation plan prior to
December 31, 1999, but sets no penalty for failing to adopt such plan; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 89 has been codified into Chapter 43 of the Texas Local
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to prepare such a plan under provisions of Chapter
43.052.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City does not intend to annex any area requiring an
annexation plan as required under Chapter 43.052 of the Texas Local Government
Code.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
