RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF VARIOUS AGED
RECEIVABLE AND INVENTORY ACCOUNTS TO DORMANT STATUS
AS PART OF THE CITY'S FISCAL YEAR END CLOSING PROCESS;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, each year the City Council removes from the general ledger various
aged receivable accounts and transfers them to dormant status for collection by the
Legal Department or the City's collection agency; and
WHEREAS, this year it is also necessary to remove from the water and sewer
system inventory miscellaneous pipe and related materials that have become obsolete
and are no longer used in the water and sewer operations of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to remove from the
general ledger the charges and inventory hereinafter set out, which are now deemed
un- collectable and/or obsolete:
Miscellaneous Accounts Receivable $ 835.63
Water /Sewer /Refuse Collection Charges $ 51,684.54
Participation Paving $154,050.55
Water Pipe /Coupling Inventory $ 24,181.25
TOTAL WRITE -OFF $230,751.97
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
