RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 AND ACCEPT
THE NORTHSIDE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
NITRIFICATION UPGRADE PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO CONTROL SPECIALIST, INC.; DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum contract with Control
Specialist, Inc. with the estimated total cost of $947,227.00; and
WHEREAS, one change order was approved in the course of the work
decreasing the estimated cost to $946,783.00, and
WHEREAS, the approval of Change Order No. 2 will increase the cost to
$953,115.00, of which $915,499.04 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving
an amount due of $37,615.96; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 2 is approved and the Northside Wastewater
Treatment Plant Nitrification Upgrade Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager
is authorized to make final payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
