RESOLUTION NO. 47-2014
Resolution authorizing the acquisition of Sanitary Sewer Easements
for the Sewer Lift Station #65 Extension Project
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls finds it is in the public’s best interest to
improve the Sanitary Sewer Lift Station #65 by extending the lines along the area
depicted in the attached Lift Station 65 Proposed Alignment; and
WHEREAS, it has initially been determined that acquisitions consisting of 7
sanitary sewer easements must be acquired for this project, and the City will offer the
fair market value to the owners for the acquisitions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council authorizes City Staff to acquire sanitary sewer easements at
locations depicted in the attached Lift Station 65 Proposed Alignment. The amount of
just compensation to be offered to the property owners will be the fair market value as
determined by an independent certified appraiser, who will be employed by the City to
appraise each tract.
