ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE POSTING OF ADVERTISING
DEVICES AT THE WEEKS AND HAMILTON TENNIS CENTERS
FOR THE TEXAS JUNIOR SUPER SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT ON
JUNE 4-11 , 1988.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Tennis Association,
which is co-sponsored this year by Taco Bell , will be held
at Weeks and Hamilton Park Tennis Centers June 4-11 , 1988;
and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Tennis Association has
requested that the City Council waive Section 22-1 (a) (9) to
allow the posting of advertising devices at both tennis
centers from June 4 through June 11 , 1988 for this tourn-
ament; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circum-
stances involved concerning this request are exceptional ,
and that such request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT;
Section 22-1 (a) (9) of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby waived to allow the posting of advertising devices in
the Weeks and Hamilton Park Tennis Centers June 4 through
June 11 , 1988 for the Texas Junior Super Sectional
Tournament.
