ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL
FUND FOR THE RESURFACING OF THE WEEKS PARK AND
HAMILTON PARK TENNIS COURTS.
WHEREAS, an important tennis tournament is going to be held
in Wichita Falls this summer, and there are nine tennis courts at
Weeks Park Tennis Center and eight courts at Hamilton Park Tennis
Center in need of repair; the courts need to be resurfaced,
color-coded, striped and have all cracks filled, for which the
total cost will be $42 , 500. 00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the
amount of $42,500. 00 to be placed in account number 11-451-4391.
A grave public necessity exists, and this is an emergency
expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could
not, by reasonable diligent thought and attention, have been
included in the 1987-88 budget.
