ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND
FOR ADDITIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL TENNIS CENTERS
FOR THE SUPER SECTIONAL TO BEHELD JUNE 1988.
WHEREAS, an important tennis tournament is going to be
held in Wichita Falls this summer , and there are several
additions requested by the Wichita Falls Tennis Association
� to make the tournament more successful ; the large covered
i bleacher tops need to be replaced at Hamilton Tennis Center ;
two small bleachers need to be replaced with aluminum tops
at Hamilton Tennis Center ; more player benches are needed at
Hamilton Tennis Center ; eight more judges chairs are needed
at Hamilton Tennis Center ; lighting needs to be upgraded as
well as redirected for more effective court coverage at both
centers and the old pro shop needs repairs (rest rooms,
flooring and repainting ) . he total cost for all of these
items will be $14,268; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is feasible to
provide twelve player benches and eight judges chairs at
Hamilton and Weeks Tennis Centers and redirect the lighting
,
for more effective court coverage, for a total cost of
$4,320.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
