ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a)8 AND SECTION 22-4
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE OF FOOD AND SOFT
DRINKS AND TO ALLOW THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IN HAMILTON
PARK ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1 , 1988, FOR THE BOW WOW RUN TO BE
SPONSORED BY THE HUMANE SOCIETY.
WHEREAS, the Humane Society has requested the use of
Hamilton Park on Saturday, October 1 , 1988 to host a Bow Wow
Run, and ;
WHEREAS, the Society wishes to promote sales of food
and soft drinks to support operation of the Society, and to
permit the consumption, but not the sale of beer ; and ,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances
involved in this request are exceptional , and that the
ordinances prohibiting such practices should be waived .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1 (a)8 and Section 22-4 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived for the Bow Wow Run in Hamilton
Park to be hosted by the Humane Society on Saturday,
October 1 , 1988.
