Ord 067-88 5/31/1988 ORDINANCE NO. C7-14r ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 2-10, PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, TO BE PAID IN EQUAL MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS. WHEREAS, at the municipal election held May 7, 1988, Section 38 of the City Charter was amended to provide that the City Council may, by ordinance, provide for the salary of the Mayor in an amount not exceeding $500. 00 per month, and the salary of each Council member in an amount not exceeding $300.00 per month. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by adding a new Section 2-10, which shall read as follows: "Section 2-10. Compensation of members of the City Council. In accordance with Section 38 of the City Charter, the Mayor shall be paid a salary of $500. 00 per month, and each Councilor shall be paid a salary of $300. 00 per month.
