Ord 090-88 8/2/1988 4 7 ORDINANCE NO. ORDINANCE TO WAIVE SECTION 32-21 (J) OF ORDINANCE 75-87 TO SUPPORT A NATIONAL OPEN HOUSE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is conducting a National Open House on August 13 and 14 ; WHEREAS, during this time HUD will seek to sell some 15 to 20 properties in Wichita Falls; WHEREAS, HUD has requested a waiver for the requirement for a water deposit; and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of Wichita Falls to provide such a waiver. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The provisions of Section 32-21 (j) of Ordinance 75-87 which require a deposit for temporary water service are hereby waived for the Department of Housing and Urban Development during the period of its National Open House on August 13 and 14, 1988. The open house event will occur in less than 30 days, therefore this ordinance is declared an emergency and will become effective upon passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 2ND DAY OF AUGUST, 1988.
