ORDINANCE NO. 15-2014
Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund for
Environmental Health Services in the amount of $20,000 from the
Association of Food and Drug Officials to support the
implementation and ongoing cost of a public health information
system and data collection and analysis of food borne disease risk
factors, and authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract
accepting said grant
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Association of Food and Drug Officials
desire to enter into a contract to accept a grant for implementation and support of an
electronic information system; and
WHEREAS, approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to the
adoption of the 2013 - 2014 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated $20,000 in the Special Revenue Fund for
Environmental Health Services, received from a grant from the Association of Food and
Drug Officials to support the implementation and ongoing cost of a public health
information system and data collection and analysis of food borne disease risk factors,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with said entity for said grant
for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health District.
