ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PERMIT THE SALE, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER
IN LUCY PARK ON SEPTEMBER 18, 1988, AND ALLOWING THE
AMERICAN G I FORUM TO CHARGE $2 00 ADMISSION FEE TO THE

AREA THEY ARE USING.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Chapter of the American
G. I . Forum will host their 12th annual Chicano Day in the
Park on September 18, 1988 in Lucy Pa/ k ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances
involved in this request are exceptional , and that Section
22 4 of the Code of Ordinances should be waived .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CI1Y OF WICHITA FALLS, 1EXAS, THAT:
Section 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
waived , granting permission for the sale, possession and
consumption of bee/ in Lucy Park on September 18 during
the American G. I . Forum ' s 12th Annual Chicano Day in the
Park . Fu` ther , the American G. I . Forum is authorized to
charge a $2.00 admission fee per person in the immediate
area they a` e using around the pavilion.
