ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL FUND FROM
REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION FOR PURPOSES OF A NARCOTICS INFORMATION
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
Whereas , On October 7 , 1988 , the office of the
Governor , Criminal Justice Division approved a grant award
in the amount of $26 , 371 for a Narcotics Information System;
and
Whereas , this program will provide a clearinghouse and
depository for narcotic and dangerous drug intelligence for
Region III of the Police Department ; and
Whereas , the City's matching contribution is included
in the Police Department 's Fiscal Year 1988-89 budget ; and
Whereas , the amount of the grant award was not known
prior to adoption of the Fiscal Year 1988-89 budget .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
$26 , 371 is hereby appropriated in account number 11-
809-4113 from revenue received from the Office of the
Governor , Criminal Justice Division for purposes of a
Narcotic 's Information Management Systems .
