ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT THE POSTING OF ADVERTISING SIGNS AT
WEEKS AND HAMILTON TENNIS CENTER, JUNE 9 16, 1989.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Tennis Association has
requested use of Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Center on
June 9-16, 1989 for their Texas Junior Super Sectionals
Championship tournament ; and
WHEREAS, the Association desires to post advertising
signs recognizing their commercial sponsors; and
WHEREAS, such a tournament brings several hundred
tourists into the community and has a positive economic
impact on Wichita Falls ; and
,
WHEREAS, the circumstances concerning this request are
exceptional .

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT
Section 22-1 (a) (9) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
waived to permit the posting of advertisement signs on June
9-16, 1989 at the Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Centers.
