ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE HOTEL/MOTEL
FUND EQUITY FOR PURPOSES OF PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR A POOL
TOURNAMENT SPONSORED BY THE BEACON LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE
BLIND
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received a request
from the North Texas Hotel/Motel Association to contribute
$5,000 of Hotel/Motel tax revenue for support of a pool
tournament to be held February 24-26, 1989 , and
WHEREAS, this event is to be sponsored by the Beacon
Lighthouse for the Blind, and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that this event will draw
approximately 150-200 out-of-town participants, and
WHEREAS, receipt of this request came after adoption of
the FY 1988-89 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated the amount of $5, 000 from
Hotel/Motel Fund Equity to Account Number 26-052-4542 for
purposes of providing support for a pool tournament sponsored
by the Beacon Lighthouse for the Blind.
