ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING VISTA CABLEVISION TO
OBTAIN A SOLICITOR'S PERMIT TO ALLOW JONES
INTERCABLE TO CONDUCT A TELEMARKETING
CAMPAIGN TO FORMER SUBSCRIBERS.
WHEREAS, Vista Cablevision has contracted with Jones
Intercable to conduct a telemarketing campaign to former
subscribers; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter Eight, Article II of the Code of Ordinances
requires that Jones Intercable obtain a solicitor' s permit to
conduct this campaign, and Vista Cablevision has requested that
it be allowed to take out the permit, rather than Jones
Intercable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Vista Cablevision is hereby allowed and authorized to obtain
such solicitor' s permit that is necessary in order for Jones
Intercable to conduct such telemarketing campaign for Vista
Cablevision.
This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, and
it shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
