ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) AND SECTION 22-4 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR AN EVENT IN HAMILTON PARK PROMOTED BY
THE WICHITA FALLS RUNNERS CLUB ON APRIL 1 , 1989.
WHEREAS, the Runners Club desires to possess and
consume beer at an event they wish to hold on April 1 , 1989
in Hamilton Park , and ;
WHEREAS, the Runners Club wishes to post a start/finish
banner in the park , and ;
WHEREAS, profits from such event will go to the North
Texas Rehabilitation Center , and ;
WHEREAS, the Runners Club has demonstrated responsible
behavior in their administration of past events.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1 (a)9 and Section 22-4 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the Runners Club to
possess and consume beer and to post a banner at their
running event on April 1 , 1989 to be held in Hamilton Park .
