ORDINANCE NO. (L -y,
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR REVENUE RECEIVED
FROM CEMETERY LOT SALES
WHEREAS, there will no longer be cemetery space available
for lot sales in about thirty years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deem it to be in the public
interest to establish a special revenue fund for the revenues
received from cemetery lot sales.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby established a special revenue fund to be
known as "Cemetery Revenue Fund, " which shall be maintained in
the City's depository bank. All revenues received from cemetery
lot sales and other revenues as designated shall be deposited as
collected into the Cemetery Revenue Fund.
Money in such fund shall be invested, and the revenue
received from such investments shall become part of the fund.
Revenue received from investments shall be used only for
cemetery maintenance and capital costs connected with the
cemeteries at a time when such revenue is sufficient to finance
the annual operation of the cemeteries or there is no longer
available space for cemetery lot sales.
