Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of A Pak Mor 24 Cubic Yard
Side Load Sanitation Body Through The BuyBoard Purchasing
Cooperative From Equipment Southwest In The Amount Of
$72,516.00 And Authorizing Refurbishment of A 1999 40,000 Pound
GVWR Mack Cab & Chassis By Bruckner's Truck Sales in the
Amount Of Approximately $30,000.00
WHEREAS TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE §252.022 exempts items
purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State's
competitive bidding requirements as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. ..(12) personal property sold:. . under an
interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a regional planning
commission established under Chapter 391.
WHEREAS, the City Council has passed a resolution approving the participation
in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that purchasing a new truck body through
BuyBoard and refurbishing a 1999 Model Mack MR688 is in the best interest of the City
of Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one Pak
Mor truck body through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative from Equipment
Southwest in the amount of $72,516.00, and contract with Bruckner's Truck Sales to
refurbish a 1999 cab and chassis in the amount of approximately $30,000.00.
