Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional
services agreement with RPS Group for a consulting contract
regarding pre-application activities for a U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers 404 Permit for Lake Wichita recreational improvements, in
an amount not to exceed $5,500
WHEREAS, the ad hoc Lake Wichita Study Committee presented an interim
report to the City Council on January 28, 2014 pursuant to the Committee’s charge;
WHEREAS, RPS Group has proposed to represent the Lake Wichita Committee
and City before the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in a pre-application meeting to
estimate the cost of a 404 Permit for recreational activities related to Lake Wichita;
WHEREAS, the Lake Wichita Study Committee has requested from the City
Council the amount of $5,500 for a consulting contract with RPS Group for activities
related to a pre-application meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a Clean
Water Act 404 Permit for Lake Wichita recreational improvements to determine the
complete cost of a 404 Permit application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to determine the complete cost for a Clean
Water Act 404 Permit application for Lake Wichita recreational improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute a professional services agreement
with RPS Group for a consulting contract regarding pre-application activities for a U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers Permit for Lake Wichita recreational improvements, in an
amount not to exceed $5,500, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney.
