AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOT 1-A AND THE CLOSED ALLEY IN
BLOCK 92, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE AND THE N. 75 FEET OF LOTS
16-21, BLOCK 91, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
FROM RIVER DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT ZONE TO HEAVY COMMERCIAL
ZONE
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
that Lot 1-A and the closed alley in Block 92, Original
Townsite and the N. 75 feet of Lots 16-21, Block 91, Original
Townsite, Wichita Falls, Texas be rezoned from a River
Development District zone to a Heavy Commercial zone; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas deems that the proposed rezoning of the area hereafter
described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use
Plan, and in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Lot 1-A and the closed alley in Block 92, Original
Townsite and the N. 75 feet of Lots 16-21, Block 91, Original
Townsite, Wichita Falls, Texas ( shown as the grey-shaded area
on the attached map (Attachment No. 1) be rezoned from a River
Development District zone to a Heavy Commercial zone.
