ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING VISTA CABLEVISION TO
OBTAIN A SOLICITOR' S PERMIT TO ALLOW DIRECT
ACTION TO CONDUCT A DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION
CAMPAIGN.
WHEREAS, Vista Cablevision has contracted with Direct Action
to conduct a door-to-door solicitation campaign; and,
WHEREAS, Chapter Eight, Article II of the Code of Ordinances
requires that Direct Action obtain a solicitor' s permit to
conduct this campaign, and Vista Cablevision has requested that
it be allowed to take out the permit, rather than Direct Action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Vista Cablevision is hereby allowed and authorized to obtain
such solicitor' s permit that is necessary in order for Direct
Action to conduct such door-to-door solicitation campaign for
Vista Cablevision.
This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, and
it shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2nd day of May, 1989.
