ORDINANCE NO. 36-89
AN ORDINANCE REZONING BLOCK 91, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE, LESS THE
NORTH 75 FEET OF LOTS 16-21, BLOCK 91, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE,
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND ADJACENT RIGHTS-OF-WAY, FROM RIVER
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT TO A HEAVY COMMERCIAL ZONE
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
that Block 91, Original Townsite, less the North 75 feet of Lots
16-21, Block 91, Original Townsite, Wichita Falls, Texas and
adjacent rights-of-way be rezoned from River Development District
to a Heavy Commercial zone; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas deems that the proposed rezoning of the area hereafter
described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan,
and in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Block 91, Original Townsite, less the North 75 feet of Lots
16-21, Block 91, Original Townsite, Wichita Falls, Texas, and
adjacent rights-of-way, shown as the shaded area on the attached
map (Attachment No. 1) is hereby rezoned from River Development
District to a Heavy Commercial zone.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 6th day of June, 1989.
