ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) AND SECTION 22-4 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT THE POSTING OF ADVERTISING
SIGNS AND THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER IN JAYCEE

WICHITA FALLS RUNNERS CLUB.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Runners Club has requested
permission to host a running event October 14, 1989 in
Jaycee Park; and
WHEREAS, they wish to be able to post advertising signs
and possess and consume beer at their event; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the event will be to promote
the realization of a system of trails for the citizens of
Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, any profits will be given to the City for
trail development; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to promote the development of
such a trail system; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the circumstances
involved in this request are exceptional , and that the
waivers should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1 (a) (9) and Section 22-4 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived to permit the posting of signs
and the possession and consumption of beer in Jaycee Park
October 14, 1999 during an event managed by the Wichita
Falls Runners Club.:
