ORDINANCE NO. 04/
ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-15 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO ADOPT THE 1988 EDITION OF
THE STANDARD FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 15-15 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"There is hereby adopted by the City Council as the fire
prevention code for the City of Wichita Falls, for the purpose of
prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life
and property from fire and explosion, that certain code known as
the 'Standard Fire Prevention Code' prepared and published by the
Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. , being
particularly the 1988 edition thereof, of which code a copy is on
file in the office of the City Clerk, and the same is hereby
adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein,
subject to the changes and deletions herein set out; the
provisions there shall be controlling within the corporate limits
of the City. "
