AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF A TWENTY FOOT WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 32, BARWISE & JALONICK
ADDITION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND RETAINING A UTILITY
EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the north-south alley in Block 32, Barwise & Jalonick
Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas is not paved nor used as an alley;
and,
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended the
closure of the portion of the alley hereunder described subject to
the retention of a utility easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The south one-half of the alley in Block 32,
Barwise & Jalonick Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas, being more
specifically described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point at the northeast corner of Lot 5, Block
32, Barwise & Jalonick Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas;
THENCE South 234. 8 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 8-A,
Block 32 , Barwise & Jalonick Addition;
THENCE east 20 feet along the north right-of-way line of
Jalonick Street to the southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 32,
Barwise & Jalonick Addition;
THENCE north 234. 8 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 12 ,
Block 32, Barwise & Jalonick Addition;
THENCE west 20 feet to the place of beginning,
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves the
entire area described in Section 1, save and except the southmost
107 .4 feet, as a utility easement for the purpose of laying and
maintaining all kind and character of utility lines including
water, gas, electric, telephone, television cable, power lines, and
sanitary and storm sewer.
