ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (a) (8) , SECTION 22-1 (a) (9) AND
SECTION 22-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT SALES,
SIGNS, AND POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER DURING THE
CHICANO DAY IN THE PARK ON 9 SEPTEMBER 1990 IN LUCY PARK.
WHEREAS, the G. I . Forum desires to host a Chicano Day
in the Park on 9 September 1990 in LL.cy Park; and,
WHEREAS, to make their event more successful they
request certain ordinances be waived; and,
WHEREAS, the G. I . Forum has conducted their event in a
responsible manner for the last several years; and,
WHEREAS, circumstances appear exceptional in their
request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
Section 22-1 (a) (8) , Section 22-1 (a) (9) and Section 22-4
of the Code of Ordinances are hereby waived during the
Chicano Day in the Park event on 9 September 1990 in Lucy
Park to permit sales, signs and the possession and
consumption of beer.
