Resolution to approve Change Order to the Phase II Runway 17-35
Reconstruction Project at Wichita Falls Regional Airport with
Duininck, Inc. in an amount of $52,551.95
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract with Duininck, Inc.
with an estimated total cost of $4,751,567.90;
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into three previous change order
agreements with Duininck, Inc. in the amount of $48,707.12 for various additional scope
of work changes to the Runway 17-35 Phase II project;
WHEREAS, this Change Order will add $52,551.95 to the contract for a revised
cost of $4,852,826.97;
WHEREAS, the FAA will pay for 90% of the cost of the change order or
$47,296.76 and the City of Wichita Falls will pay for the remaining 10% or $5,255.19;
and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this change order and
believes that it is in the City’s best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The attached Change Order to the Reconstruction of Runway 17-35 Phase II at
Wichita Falls Regional Airport (AIP No. 3-48-0346-12) contract is hereby approved, with
changes as approved by the City Attorney, and the City Manager is authorized to
execute all documents necessary to effectuate this change order, in a form approved by
the City Attorney, in an estimated amount of $52,551.95.
