ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1 (A) (2) AND SECTION 22-1 (A) (9)
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT VEHICLES ON THE GRASS
AND SIGNS AND THE RESERVATION OF A PORTION OF LUCY PARK ON
JULY 27, 1991 FOR A ROD RUN EVENT BY THE NOSTALGIC STREET
MACHINE CLUB.
WHEREAS, the Nostalgic Street Machine Club wishes to
host an event on July 27, 1991 in Lucy Park called, "Fun in
the Sun Auto Run" ; and,
WHEREAS, the Club desires to be able to park their
under shade trees in the central part
vehicles on the grass p
of Lucy Park and post signs; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to host events
which attract tourists; and,
WHEREAS, the Club will return any profits above the
standard percentage of gross sales to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 22-1 (a) (2) and Section 22-1 (a) (9) are hereby
waived to permit vehicles on the grass and signs and a
portion of the center section of Lucy Park is hereby
reserved on July 27, 1991 for the Nostalgic Street Machine
Club auto event.
