ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION
IN THE TRANSIT FUND FROM GRANT
REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE URBAN
MASS TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION
FOR CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 18-87 authorized the City Manager
and Public Transportation Department to submit grant applications
to the Urban Mass Transportation Administration for purposes of
operating and capital assistance of the Transit System; and
WHEREAS, a grant has been approved for funding; and
WHEREAS, the operating assistance was appropriated through
the annual budget process; and
WHEREAS, the federal portion of the capital expenditures of
this grant could not have been anticipated with the adoption of
the 1990-91 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Transit Fund the amount
of $540,800.00 from grant revenue received from the Urban Mass
Transportation Administration for purposes of capital purchases.
