ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 22-1(A) ( 2) , 22-1(A) ( 9) ,
22-1(A) ( 10) , OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, AND RESOLUTION
NO. 2509, AS AMENDED, TO PERMIT VEHICLES ON THE GRASS,
SIGNS AND ANIMALS IN THE PARK, NON-PAYMENT OF THE
STANDARD PERCENTAGE OF TICKET SALES, AND RESERVATION OF
A PORTION OF JAYCEE PARK BY CIRCUS VARGAS FOR AN EVENT
TO BE HELD OCTOBER 11-13 , 1991.
WHEREAS, Circus Vargas has requested permission to hold
performances in the City of Wichita Falls in Jaycee Park on
October 11-13 , 1991; and,
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful,
they wish permission to drive vehicles on the grass, post signs,
have animals in the park, and pay $1,500 in lieu of the standard
10% of ticket sales; and,
WHEREAS, the circumstances in this request are exceptional,
and the City Council feels such requests should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Sections 22-1(a) ( 2 ) , 22-1(a) ( 9 ) , and 22-1(a) ( 10) of the Code
of Ordinances, and Resolution No. 2509, as amended, are hereby
waived to allow vehicles on the grass, the posting of signs, the
right to have animals in the park; payment of $1,500 in lieu of
the 10% of ticket sales due the City; as well as reservation of a
portion of Jaycee Park on October 10-14, 1991, by Circus Vargas.
