ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN
THE TRANSIT FUND FOR GRANT REVENUE
RECEIVED FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
HIGHWAYS FOR CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASES
FOR THE TRANSIT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received funding
approval of a grant from the Texas Department of Highways for
purposes of operating and capital assistance of the transit
system in conjunction with federal funds received from the Urban
Mass Transportation Administration for the same purposes; and
WHEREAS, the operating assistance provided by this grant was
appropriated through the annual budget process; and
WHEREAS, the state portion of the capital assistance of this
grant could not have been anticipated with the adoption of the
1990-91 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Transit Fund the amount
of $87,880. 00 from grant revenue received from the Texas
Department of Highways for purposes of capital purchases.
