AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-160.7 .7 OF THE WICHITA FALLS
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO DESIGNATE THE KELL FIELD AIR TERMINAL AT
SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE AS A LOCAL LANDMARK
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission has recommended that the Kell
Field Air Terminal located at Sheppard Air Force Base be designated
as a Local Landmark; and,
WHEREAS, the Kell Field Air Terminal played a key role in
North Texas aviation history and development; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls deems
that designating this building as a Local Landmark is in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 2-160.7 . 7 of the Wichita Falls Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to add the following:
" (13) The Kell Field Air Terminal located at Sheppard Air
Force Base is hereby designated as a Wichita Falls
Landmark. "
